Almost Wordless Wednesday: Beijing

The Beijing Olympic Games are only a week a way, so I thought it'd be nice to see a kinder, gentler, more beautiful side of Beijing than what has been portrayed in the media. The Olympic Games are all about peace and the glory of sport. There will be enough time to talk politics as the games progress, but for now, I hope you've enjoyed the beauty of this ancient city.

Thanks for reading.

Beijing is amazing. I wish I could go there for Olympic too. But, very sure that the place will be overcrowded.

As always, you found some beautiful shots...and you managed to keep the word count short enough to actually qualify as "almost wordless"!!

Those are some intense photos, great for WW, especially with the Olympics coming up. If you'd like to see my very simple WW it is located @ The Cafe.

This blog is so cool. I agree that we will have plenty of time to hash over the politics of it all - and I really appreciate the chance to just marvel at it all. Incredible pics. Thank you! Cheers, Bonnie

Hey Matt! I hope that all is well since I last popped by.

The pictures are absolutely beautiful. You should be on the tourism board, they'd have a lot more people flocking to the Olympics!

Happy WW!

Atniz--China has 1.3 billion people. I'm sure the amount of tourists there for the Olympics won't even be a blip on their radar.... If you want to go to China for the Olympics, I think you should will be an amazing experience, probably once in a lifetime.

Rox--LOL. Thanks for the kudos on the shots, I'm glad I could comply with your standards for what "Almost Wordless" should be! ;)

Sassy Mama Bear--I'll check out your site...thanks for stopping by.

Cindi--how did you know I resemble a finely cut jewel? Glad you enjoyed the photos.

Bonnie--can I quote you? I'm glad you think my blog is cool and I hope you'll stop by often.

Jackie--you are welcome as always. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

Sheila--all is great, and wow, thanks for the compliments! If you have a contact at the Chicago Sun Times that could recommend me to the Beijing or China Tourism Boards, I would appreciate it!
